Enna Jewellery | Playful Custom Jewellery - London UK
From small beginnings...
Enna Jewellery came into being in 2015 – a hobby that turned into a thriving and growing business. Somehow those hours spent doodling and creating became tiny pieces of art that people adored. It was a surprise to me that this could happen and yet somehow I knew that there were people out there who loved what I loved and would understand my inspiration.
And small things...
What we discard has beauty. Perspex, acrylic, plastic bottles – they all have their own unique grace and style that is all too often overlooked. Enna Jewellery takes these discarded items and brings them back into use by giving them back beauty and function. The colours are bright and exciting and the designs are bold and intriguing, but it is the concept that truly sets my pieces apart. It is upcycling jewellery with a difference – a pure re-imagining of plastics. Stylish and beautiful – but above all, unique.
Hard work...
I suppose that jewellery designing was always on the cards for me. My degree in Graphic Arts and Masters degree in Visual Communication led to work as a graphic designer – but I always had a love for experimentation with textures and drawing. I feel thankful that I was able to find a career that allowed my creativity to shine, but it wasn't until I had a child and was forced to find work that would compliment my new life as a Mother that my inner designer was finally set free.
And small people...
Now, alongside my little boy Yoan, I work in my studio developing new looks and pieces that offer something special for my customers. The joy of a walk with my son will inspire me to create the things we have seen. The green of the local park, the rustic wood of the playground bench, the sparkle of sun in a puddle. Sometimes I feel that without my “little helper” the inspiration may never have come.
Comes beauty in all its forms...
My belief is that all people deserve a little beauty in their lives. A simple outfit can be brought to new heights by the addition of some beautiful earrings or a brooch that adds light and texture. But it is the inner spirit that is being expressed by the wearing of gorgeous pieces of art on the body. It explains a little of you to those around you. I love to be a part of that magical process.
